Program: Research
Animal profiles and movements have a lasting influence on human history and inspire a wide range of designs, from products to architecture. This study focuses on incorporating computer animation technology into the design process. The movement of animals serves as a simulation target to develop kinematic designs, applicable from small to large scales, including architecture. Giraffes, gibbons, and kangaro are selected as resources for the final design, which aims to integrate the environment with kinematic devices to provide sustainable solutions. Given the ever-changing environment, the approach to creating kinematic architectural skins must effectively respond to nature.
